Make It Work

They live in 3 Asian cities, yet share the same fate. They lost their jobs in the pandemic.

In this observational documentary, filmed over six months, spanning Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore, we track the lives of three individuals to document the real impact of COVID-19 on people’s lives and livelihoods.

How do they hunker down to make ends meet for their families? What painful decisions do they have to make? Will they forgo hopes of finding similar work by adopting career changes or take the risk of starting a new business? What is the emotional strain on their mental health and on the relationships with their loved ones? How will they explain the harsh new normal to their children and elderly dependents?
